We pride ourselves on the functionality and appearance of our historic facilities. We are constantly updating and improving our premises and equipment to keep our facility within the highest of professional standards. Our building is a landmark, named a certified historic structure by the Texas Historical Commission and listed by the U.S. Department of the Interior in the National Register of Historic Places.
Whether it is our Chapel, Visitation Rooms, Executive Offices, or other facilities, the flexibility of our layout allows us to accommodate a broad range of services. Our building can support everything from very large assemblies to the smallest of quaint gatherings.
The funeral is an important opportunity to pay tribute to someone you loved. It is a time for relatives and friends to gather tell stories, to share memories, to acknowledge your loss and support one another. We are open-minded in providing a more personal arrangement to suit your needs and reflect the life of your loved one.
We've worked hard to make the surroundings as comforting as possible for you during this difficult time. Simply choose from the menu on the left to view some of the individual areas of our facility.

Tour Our Facility
Although our chapel is not intended to compete against the reverence and respect of the church, it has been tastefully designed as an option for those who do not wish a formal church setting. Conveniently located within the funeral home, it provides a dignified setting for family, friends and the community to gather together and pay tribute to the deceased.

The magnificent Grand Foyer of our funeral home, as designed by noted architect J.L. Wees. Twin staircases of solid maple gracefully greet guests as they enter our home. The North Hall displays its original Art Nouveau mosaic tile floor.

Second Floor Gallery Hall
Named in honor of Rufus Fenner Scott, original owner of the mansion, Scott Parlor has been tastefully decorated to insure comfort and serenity at the time of a loss. Designed to be flexible in its use, Scott Parlor can accommodate everything from a traditional period of visitation - to a more contemporary memorial visitation - to a small reception.
The Great Room
Our Great Room provides a warm and welcome place for visitations and receptions and also serves as a family room during chapel funeral services. We want our clients to feel comfortable when receiving friends and family at the time of loss. Our home is yours. Our staff will ensure that your family and friends are treated with the hospitality that you would extend in a less difficult and emotional time in your own home.
Our executive offices are designed for the comfort of families as they meet with their funeral director to plan services for loved ones.
