A.C. BARNETT, 79, of Paris, passed from this life Wednesday February 2, 2011 at Paris Healthcare Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Friday February 4, 2011 in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Cannon officiating. Private interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Barnett was born July 15, 1931 in Paris, a son of Almon C. and Dorothy Darrell Wheeler Barnett. He attended Paris schools, then worked for the Gulf Printing Company in Houston, from whence he retired. He was a member of First Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by one sister, Patsy Ruth Gossett in 1996.

He is survived by a brother, James K. Barnett, of Paris; and a sister, Betty Gibbens, of Powderly.
