Dixie Helen Weeks

DIXIE WEEKS, 81, of Lone Oak, passed from this life Sunday August 3, 2014 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday August 7, 2014 in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home, with Rev. Mike Fortenberry officiating. Private interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until noon on Thursday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Weeks was born October 19, 1932 in Paris, a daughter of John and Rhoda E. Griffin Lay. She was a homemaker, and of the Baptist faith. She married Lee Weeks on March 20, 1952.

Dixie was preceded in death by her parents; and infant daughter; two brothers, John William Lay and Gary Lay; and a sister, Valera Fay Oneal.

Survivors include her husband Lee, of Lone Oak; two children, Linda Helen Clark and husband Jim, of Scurry, and Thomas Lee Weeks and wife Michelle, of Lone Oak; four grandchildren, Jason Clark, Lacy Clark, Thomas Weeks, Jr., and Gina Harrington; two brothers, Douglas Lay, of Bonham, and Arthur Lay, of Paris; two sisters, Lois Justice, of Deport and Shirley Hernandez, of Mesquite; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
