Doris Maxine Lindsey

Doris Maxine Lindsey, of Paris, passed away December 22, 2016 at Stillhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 83. Graveside services were held Saturday December 24, 2016 at McDonald Cemetery under the direction of Roden-Pryor Funeral Directors.

Doris was born on April 6, 1933 in Lamar County to Zack and Effie Daniels Thomas. She was a private caregiver and spent her life caring for others. She never learned to drive but rather would walk from one location to another. Doris was a simple woman and will be remembered as always wearing her apron.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy Nathan Lindsey.

Doris is survived by her children Terrie Shakir of Paris, Sheila Jones of Longview, Jimmy Lindsey of Paris, Dora McKinney of Paris, 5 grandchildren including her loving granddaughter and caregiver Jaretta Lindsey, 4 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
