Dorothy Roberts

DOROTHY PERKINS ROBERTS, 69, formerly of Paris, passed from this life Sunday March 13, 2011 at Red River Regional Hospital in Bonham. Her body was gifted to U.T. Southwestern Medical School. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday March 25, 2011 in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home, with Bill Flanary officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

Dorothy was born September 9, 1941 in Paris, a daughter of Emmitt Earnest and Flora Mae Gills Perkins. She attended Graham School and Paris High School, and was of the Baptist faith. She was a former employee of Superior Switchboard. Dorothy was a loving person, who never met a stranger, always having a big smile and a hug for everyone. She loved animals, especially dogs. She loved her family and friends, but most of all she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, James Perkins, Douglas Perkins and Bobby Perkins.

Survivors include a daughter, Robyn Blackmon, of Ft. Worth; a sister, Wanda Armstrong, of Paris; two brothers, Billy Mack Perkins and wife Shirley, of Fairfield, California and Earnest Perkins and wife Pat, of Dallas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
