Ernie Lamoine Brown

Ernie Lamoine Brown, 84, of Garland, TX, passed from this life on November 26, 2022, at his home.  Ernie was born April 12, 1938, in Paris, TX, to Ernie Dixie and Clara Freda (Holmes) Brown.

Ernie enjoyed flying, boating, fishing, photography, and birdwatching.  He loved spending time with his children and had devoted his entire life to caring for his children and his favorite dog, Barney.  Ernie was proud to have served in the United States Army.  He also worked for Texas Instruments.

Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, Ernie and Clara Brown; sister, Dorothy Garrett; his wife and mother of his children, Sammie Brown in 1997.

Ernie is survived by his three children, Ernie (Jr) and Linda Brown, of Woodlands, TX, Rhonda and Bobby West, of Clifton, TX, and Jeffery and Melissa Brown, of Garland, TX; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Sandra Mercer, of Dades City, FL, and Nancy Brown, of Edmond, OK; numerous nephews and nieces; his current wife, Jo Ann Johnson, of Garland, TX; and several other relatives and many friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be Monday, December 5, 2022, at 10:00AM, at Roden-Pryor Funeral Directors, 1929 Bonham St., Paris, TX, with Kenneth Case officiating.  Burial will follow at Providence Cemetery, Paris, TX.  Visitation will be Sunday, December 4, 2022, from 3-5, also at Roden-Pryor Funeral Directors.
