Evelyn Iris Perry

Evelyn Iris Kirkham Perry, age 93, of Paris, left this earth on November 15, 2016. Funeral Services are set for Friday November 18, 2016 at 10:00 am in the Roden-Pryor Funeral Home with Patrick Cannon officiating. Interment will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Evelyn was born on March 24, 1923 in Paris, to Clarence Taylor and Annie Marie Kirkham. She was married to Joe Jett Perry. Joe and his son, Kyle Dale Perry preceded Evelyn in death.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter Iris Marie Perry Bolton and two grandchildren, Anne-Marie McCollister of Little Elm and David Perry Bolton of Longmont, Colorado. Also surviving are three great grandchildren, Alexandra Delaney McCollister and Riley Lauren McCollister of Little Elm and Jett Anthony Bolton of Longmont, Colorado. Evelyn had one brother, Taylor Kirkham, who preceded her in death.

Evelyn was active in her church and enjoyed spending time with her many church friends. She was known for picking up her friends that no longer drove and taking them out to eat. She managed the boy's department at Ayres Department Store for a number of years and prior to her retirement worked as church secretary for the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ for 30 years.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Evelyn's name.
