GEORGE RICHARD RHOADES, 56, of Paris, passed from this life Tuesday January 18, 2011 at Paris Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Following cremation arrangements by Starrett Funeral Home, the family will hold a private memorial celebration at a later date.

George was born August 19, 1954 in Paris, a son of William Bryan and Mary Elizabeth Rhoades. He was a graduate of Paris High School and Paris Junior College, then worked in electronics until his health began to fail.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by a son, Justin Britton, of McKinney; a brother, Bill Rhoades and wife Lisa, of Paris; a sister, Sharon Ann Howard, of Tampa, FL; two nieces, Shelby Lynn Rhoades and Lori Lynn Little; a cousin, Billie Viehe and husband Mike, of Paris; a great-aunt, Edna Belle Dusenberry, of Paris; two nephews, Andy Howard, of Rockwall and Cory Howard and wife Bree, of Jacksonville, Florida; and two great-nieces.
