Helen A Harper

HELEN HOWARD HARPER, 83, of Paris, passed from this life on Thursday July 1, 2010 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Following cremation arrangements by Starrett Funeral Home the family will host a private memorial gathering at the family residence.

Helen was born November 17, 1926 in Maysville, Oklahoma, a daughter of Asa and Nancy Wells Howard. She was a graduate of Maysville schools, and retired from UARCO in 1977. She was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church.

She married Thomas Harper in 1977 in Paris.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and by four brothers, Conard Howard, Joseph Howard, Thurman Howard and Randall Howard.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; two sons, James Harper, of New Mexico and Brian Harper and wife Jennifer, of Washington; three daughters, Sharon Bradford and husband Reggie, of Alba, Barbara Watts and husband Bill, of Alabama, and Cindy McClain and husband Don, of Washington; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Reuben Howard, of Oklahoma City; and a sister, Ina Dunagan, of California.
