Taylor was born December 12, 1926 to James Benjamin and Thelma Taylor Benjamin. His many achievements in life lead him to serve in the Army Air Corps; succeed in numerous business ventures: including distribution for Wonder Bread, franchising a Miss Alma's Ozark Fried Chicken, both in Paris, Texas. He assisted the Alabama Coushatta tribe members in finding career and employment assistance. Taylor had many hobbies, but none were as important as fishing and winning a game of dominoes.
Taylor was proceeded in death by his parents, wife Helen, and special friend Faye Lay.
Survivors include a son, Mickey Benjamin, of Hugo, Oklahoma; a daughter, Judy Bell, of Farris, Oklahoma; a brother, Eugene Benjamin, and wife Lou, of Virginia; a nephew, David Benjamin, of Virginia; nine grandchildren, Kristie, Misti, Sean, Shane, Justin, Tricia, Bekah, James, and Jon; twenty-three great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild; and numerous family and friends who will miss his gift of gab.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Brookdale Senior Living of Paris, Texas for the special bond created between Taylor and his caregivers.
