MARGARET COBB PEARSON, 87, of Paris, left this life peacefully on Thursday February 17, 2011 at Paris Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a brief illness. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday February 20, 2011 in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home with Dr. Ed Schaeffer officiating. Interment will take place at 4:00 p.m. in the Willow Wild Cemetery, Bonham, Texas with Rev. Thomas Beall as officiant.

The family will greet friends at the funeral home from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service.

Mrs. Pearson was born August 28, 1923 in the Elwood community of Fannin County, a daughter of Collie and Hessie Harrison Cobb. She was a graduate of Bonham schools and a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She loved sewing, gardening and working for her church, but in later years her greatest joy was visiting with her friends.

She married Ralph Avis Pearson on November 22, 1941 in Bonham. He preceded her in death on January 15, 2002.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, and her son-in-law, Gary Patterson.

Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Patterson, of Paris; a sister, Ruby Pilliod and husband John, of Bonham; and several nieces and nephews.
