PHYLLIS MARIE CRAWFORD, 63, of Paris, was prepared for her final journey, and was released from this life at 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday October 20, 2010 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday October 22, 2010 in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Nash officiating. Private family interment rites will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.

Phyllis was born August 4, 1947 in Childress, a daughter of Weldon Oscar (Kyle) and Nina Myrhl McCoy Keel. Moving to Paris in 1980, she was retired from the Texas Department of Transportation after twenty-three years of service. She was a member of Victory Temple in Enloe, and of the Paris Elks Lodge. She loved flowers, gardening, yard work, and had the perfect green thumb. She loved to share cuttings with her family and friends. Phyllis loved to dance. Her greatest joys were here children and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Deborah Rene' Weir; an infant son, Toby Dean Weir; and a sister, Linda Jo Dill.

Phyllis is survived by a son, Tony Weir and his wife Caroline, of Amarillo; a daughter, Deana Miner and husband Ribble, of Deport; two grandchildren, Rylie Miner and Hannah Miner, both of Deport; a sister, Cynthia Keel, of Euless; her very special friend and fiancee', Jerry Haning, of Paris; and her best friend Imogene Taack.

Serving as pallbearers are Mark Buster, Richard Drake, Troy Scholl, Mike Smith, Vernon Draper, and Wylie McIntire. Named as honorary pallbearers are Gerald Byas, Jesse Fults and Elbert Winn.
