Ryan "Deano" Wilson

October 30, 1992 — March 21, 2011

RYAN "DEANO" WILSON, 18, of the Sumner Community, passed from this life suddenly on Monday March 21, 2011. Starrett Funeral Home will conduct a celebration of his life at 2:00 p.m. Friday March 25, 2011 at the North Lamar High School gymnasium, with Patrick Cannon officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Tabor Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Deano was born October 30, 1992 in Garland, a son of Robbie and Kathy Goynes Wilson. He was a senior at North Lamar High School, where he excelled in athletics, especially baseball. He was a confident man of faith and tenacity, proving it time and again when beating some of life's hardest obstacles. He lived a life of determination following a serious accident in 2007, enduring numerous surgeries and life-threatening injuries. When told that he would never again be able to participate in athletics, his optimism and the encouragement of his father pushed him to greater heights than ever before. He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved to go catfishing. He had a "goofy" sense of humor, but was wise beyond his years. His kindness and loving spirit was sensed by all who knew him. He loved his teammates and loved the girls, but loved his family most.

Deano was preceded in death by two cousins, Colt Hoyt and Jeremy Jumper.

Those left to remember him forever are his parents, Robbie and Kathy Wilson, of Sumner; two sisters, Amy Schmidt and fianc Steven Daniel, of Paris and Kendall Wilson, of Sumner; a niece, Addisyn Middleton, of Sumner; one nephew, Laken Daniel, of Paris; his maternal grandmother, Janice Hoyt and husband Joe, of Powderly; his maternal grandfather, John Goynes and wife Bobbie, of Elkhart; his paternal grandparents, Jerry and Mary Wilson, of Paris; aunts an uncles Jerry and Cindy Wilson, of Powderly, Danny Wilson, of Sumner, Dennis Goynes, of Houston, Butch and Cindy Hoyt, of Detroit, Don and Lisa Hoyt, of Plano, Teresa Jumper, of Paris, Rhonda and Russell Steen, of Houston, Jackie and Mark Blassingame, and Kristi and Traci Coplin, all of Paris; numerous cousins, including Caleb and Dillon Wilson, whom he loved like brothers; and by all members of the Paris Titans, past and present, with whom he spent the past eight years of his life. All were like family to him.
