Susan Jane Wells

SUSAN JANE WELLS, 48, of Paris, passed from this life on Sunday March 11, 2012 at Paris Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday March 15, 2012 in the chapel of Starrett Funeral Home with Rev. Van Lazaroff officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Susan was born April 8, 1963 in Vandalia, Illinois, a daughter of Albert Alan and Barbara June Hill Wells. She was a graduate of North Lamar High School and attended Paris Junior College. She was employed by Paris Bank of Texas from 1981 until 1985, then worked for the Lamar County Sheriff's Office as a dispatcher. She later worked in dispatch as a 911 Operator for the City of Paris until her retirement.

Susan was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Alan Wells, her father, Albert Alan Wells, and grandparents Roy and Erma Hill and Nathaniel and Grace Wells.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Barbara Elliott, of Reno; a sister, Christal Shawhart, of Reno; a brother, Jeffrey Wells, of Mulberry Grove, Illinois; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and many special friends including Sherry Barker and Teri Barber.

Named to serve as pallbearers are Webb Wright, Teri Barber, Eddie Almond, Karl Lewis, B.J. McCoy, and Bob Hundley.
