WILLIAM JOSEPH (JOE) HIME, 57, of Paris, passed from this life Friday May 21, 2010 at his residence. A memorial celebration will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday May 27, 2010 at Starrett Funeral Home, where friends will gather to share and remember. His brother-in-law Rev. Rocky Burrow will officiate.
Joe was born December 12, 1952 in Magnolia, Arkansas, a son of Dr. Harold Henry and Patricia Gayle Jones Hime. He was a graduate of W.W. Samuell High School in Dallas, then graduated from Brookhaven College, where he received his formal training as a Registered Nurse. He was a cardiac care nurse, and enjoyed his many musician friends and co-workers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. and Mrs. Harold Hime and Billie Jo Hime; a brother, Samuel Hime; a granddaughter, Allison Bausch; his father-in-law, Bill Oxley; and two brothers-in-law, James Burrow and Kevin Kirk.
He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Vickie Hime, of Paris; two children, Tonya and Brian Bausch, of Flower Mound and John and Colleen Hime, of Dallas; three grandchildren, Megan and Blake Bausch and Aiden Kossick; two sisters, Sarah and Walton Fujimoto of Scottsdale, Arizona and Pam Kirk, of Texarkana; his mother-in-law, Mildred Viola Oxley, of Paris and his father-in-law Julius Doyle Burrow, of Mesquite; two brothers-in-laws Rocky Burrow and wife Kay, of Sumner and Paul Burrow and wife Julie, of Grand Prairie; and his two beloved dogs Sammy and Tuffy and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of usual remembrances memorial contributions may be made to the Lamar County Humane Association.
