WILLIAM VERNON "BILL" WOOLDRIDGE, 92 of Red Bluff California passed away Sunday, September 18, 2011 in Redding, California. Starrett Funeral Home will conduct Masonic graveside rites at 11:00 a.m. Thursday September 29, 2011 in Evergreen Cemetery, with members of Paris Masonic Lodge officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery for one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Wooldridge was born March 27th, 1919 in rhe Atlas Community of Lamar County, later moving to Paris, . He was the youngest child born to John William Wooldridge and Nora Myrtle (Henderson) Wooldridge. After completing Paris schools Mr. Wooldridge continued on to Texas A&M. University, then from 1943 thru 1945 he served with the 302nd Airdrome Squadron with service in Europe during World War II. After discharge he moved to Dallas, Texas to continue his career in banking. He relocated his family to Phoenix, Arizona in 1951. He held management positions in banking in Phoenix, AZ,, Oroville and San Francisco, California eventually moving to Red Bluff, Ca in 1976.
Mr. Wooldridge was a Mason, Shriner and a former Rotarian, and remained active with those and other organizations throughout his life. He will be buried with his family who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his Wife Carol Wooldridge of Red Bluff, California, his sons William Louis and Robert Nineyear Wooldridge as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
